Wet Wire Drawing Machine Working Principle

wet wire drawing machine

The wet wire drawing machine is a small continuous production machine consisting of many drawing heads, which are drawn step by step so that the drawing head is placed in the water tank and finally the wire is drawn according to the required specifications to meet the requirements.

The wet wire drawing machine is divided into a heavy-duty water tank and a folding water tank.

It is suitable for drawing all kinds of metal wires of medium and fine specifications, especially for drawing high and medium low carbon steel wires, galvanized iron wires, tire bead wires, hose wires, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium and other alloy wires, steel cord, and copper and aluminum wires.

The core link of the wet wire drawing machine is the winding link, which also directly affects the quality of the wire. There are usually several control methods for winding.

One is the use of tension roller adjustment, where the winding tension is ensured by the tension roller’s own counterweight.

Second, the use of torque control, winding tension by the size of the given torque to decide but will be due to changes in the diameter of the roll and lead to uneven winding tension.

Third, for wet drawing machines with high process requirements, the first control method is usually used, using the PID correction function of the ACS510 frequency inverter to control the tension roll adjustment.

Most manufacturers of wet drawing machines typically have around 20 drawing heads.

After one drawing stage, the wire diameter is changed and therefore the working wire speed varies for each drawing head.

During the entire drawing process, only one motor is required to drive the machine via a mechanical drive or gearbox.
