Elephant Trunk Take-up Machine

The elephant trunk type wire take-up machine ( Elephant Trunk Take-up Machine) manufactured by YF Metal Tech is used for high, medium, and low carbon steel wire, copper wire, aluminum wire, and other wire rods with low tensile strength.

It is mainly used with straight-type, pulley-type, and water-tank-type wire drawing machines so that the entire drawing and winding work can be carried out continuously.

YF Metal Tech elephant trunk type wire take-up machine features: torque/AC frequency conversion control, dynamic balance, the fixed speed with wire drawing machine, heavy plate, and labor-saving.

If the elephant trunk type wire take-up machine collects high-strength steel wire, a calibration die is added, thereby increasing the straightening and flatness of the steel wire.

The reel of the wire take-up machine is water-cooled + air-cooled, and the calibration die is water-cooled, which greatly improves the product quality of the steel wire.

This machine is specially designed for drawing copper rods with a diameter of φ8.0mm into copper wires with a diameter of φ3.0-2.5mm, and then there is a φ600 (or φ800) elephant trunk type wire unloading into a loop, with high speed and neat and smooth wire unloading.

Technical Characteristics of Elephant Trunk Type Take-up Machine

 

The elephant trunk wire take-up machine is to draw the steel wire drawn by the wire drawing machine through a small compression rate, and the steel wire slides from the elephant trunk frame into the flower rail frame, so that the heavy plate can be unloaded without stopping.

In the working process of the equipment, the mold box and the reel must be forcibly cooled. Since the steel wire cannot be cooled directly, only the mold box and the reel can be cooled, so the steel wire can be cooled indirectly.

Controlling the outlet temperature of the steel wire is a necessary condition to ensure the performance index of the steel wire and realize high-speed unloading.

The cooling of the mold box and reel of the existing elephant trunk wire take-up machine is performed by two centrifugal fans through the air duct to respectively air-cool the mold box and the reel.

This air cooling method is simple and practical when the strength of the steel wire is not high, less than 1000Mpa or the low-speed take-up is less than 8m/s.

And for those high-strength, high-performance steel wires, such as oil-tempered spring steel wires, when the unloading speed is greater than 12m/s, this cooling method can no longer meet the requirements.

Aiming at the above-mentioned problems, the mold box of the elephant trunk wire take-up machine and the reel liquid cooling device are designed.
