Control of outer diameter deviation of copper wire drawing machine products

Due to the uninterrupted production of the copper wire drawing machine, the drawing speed will gradually be out of sync with the annealing, which will cause intermittent and irregular changes in the wire diameter due to the fast and slow drawing speed during wire drawing. The reasons for this phenomenon are as follows:

  1. Unstable tension on the storage pulley. There may be many places where the air pressure is used in the production workshop, which will cause the air pressure of the air pump of the wire drawing machine to vary from time to time. The tensile force suffered by the wire drawing is also not constant, which can cause the deviation of the outer diameter of the monofilament to be uncontrollable.
  2. Chattering of the copper wire on the annealing wheel. This makes the copper wire be annealed in a state of sometimes loose and sometimes tight, the current density of annealing is sometimes high and sometimes small, and the strength of the copper wire at a higher speed is relatively low, so it is easy to cause the copper wire to spark on the annealing wheel so that the surface of the copper wire is uneven in diameter due to the action of sparks.
  3. Wear and tear caused by the long-term use of the main motor gearbox. This can make the speed of the fixed speed wheel of the wire drawing not match the pulling speed and the wire take-up speed, thereby forming a thinning of the monofilament.

Solution:

Lubricate the wire accumulator well to prevent it from causing reverse friction on the wire during high-speed operation and making the wire thinner;

Adjust the tension of the wire so that the drawing stroke is always close to the annealing wheel;

Ensure the integrity of the steel ring of the annealing wheel, and avoid the instability of the annealing current due to the surface defects of the steel ring.

According to the actual situation of the copper wire drawing machine, re-match the wire drawing machine:

Adjust according to the wire drawing principle, so that the speed of the annealing wheel / the speed of the fixed wheel = the forward slip coefficient × the diameter of the fixed wheel / the diameter of the annealing wheel, where the diameters of the fixed wheel and the annealing wheel are known. The rotational speed can also be measured, from which the forward slip coefficient can be obtained, and the wire drawing machine can be reconfigured according to the slip coefficient so that the prepared die can meet the requirements.

There are different degrees of oxidation on the surface of the monofilament drawn by the copper wire drawing machine.

This problem may occur for the following reasons:

  1. The temperature of the cooling water in the sealing chamber is too high, exceeding 40°C, so that the sealing chamber cannot achieve the required cooling effect on the monofilament, resulting in a high temperature of the monofilament after annealing, and encountering air at high temperature oxidized by oxygen.
  2. The saponification liquid content of the coolant in the sealing chamber is not enough, which will increase the friction between the monofilament and each guide wheel, and then the temperature of the monofilament will rise again, causing the surface of the monofilament to oxidize.
  3. The water pressure and water volume of the cooling water in the sealing chamber are not enough, so the monofilament cannot achieve a satisfactory cooling effect.

Solution:

Frequently check whether the equipment for cooling circulating water is in normal operation and whether the cooling effect is normal;

Add substances that can increase the concentration of saponified liquid in the sealed chamber at regular intervals, so that the content of the saponified liquid in the cooling water can be changed to ensure that the monofilament can run normally on the guide wheel;

Regularly check whether the water pressure of the circulating water is normal, and constantly change the pressure and water volume of the cooling water entering the sealed chamber according to the change of the water pressure during production.

Frequently broken wires often occur in Copper Wire Drawing Machine Production Process.

This situation is mainly caused by the following factors:

  1. The sizing area of the wire drawing die will become larger due to normal wear and tear during uninterrupted production.
  2. Due to the quality problems of various rod materials. During the production process, irregular quality defects appear in the rod, which makes the monofilament broken by various unpredictable tensions in the wire drawing deformation. This situation rarely occurs when the rod material is good.
  1. Due to the instability of the annealing current during production, the current is suddenly high, and the monofilament is broken during the annealing process or fused by a sudden strong current.

Solution: Before production, fully self-inspect the copper rods to be produced, find out the quality defects of the copper rods in time, find corresponding countermeasures in time according to different situations, reduce the wire drawing speed, or remove the defective parts in this section.

During production, constantly observe whether the annealing current of the wire drawing is normal, especially when it is just started, pay special attention to the change of the annealing current, adjust the size of the annealing current according to the change of the wire speed, and then make the annealing current slowly follow the line The speed increases and becomes larger to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
